Victims Compensation Assistance Program (VCAP)
Affordable Therapy for Survivors
If you are a victim of a crime, you may be eligible for up to $10,000 toward counseling. Keystone Art Therapy is a registered Victims Compensation Assistance Program (VCAP) provider. It is a state-funded program to help victims and/or their families navigate the emotional, physical, and financial aftermath of a crime by easing the financial burdens associated with the crime.
How VCAP Can Help
VCAP provides financial assistance for mental health services to individuals who have experienced:
Violent crime
Domestic violence
Sexual assault
Homicide-related trauma (for surviving family members)
DUI or Hit-and-Run incidents
Robbery
Other qualifying traumatic events
As an approved VCAP provider, I offer trauma-informed therapy, including art therapy, EMDR, and talk therapy, to help survivors process their experiences, regain a sense of safety, and move toward healing.
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify for VCAP assistance, you must:
✔️ Be a victim of a crime that occurred in Pennsylvania
✔️ Have reported the crime to law enforcement or another official entity (except in cases of sexual assault, which does not require a police report to qualify)
✔️ Submit a VCAP application for reimbursement
Not sure if you qualify? I’m happy to guide you through the process or connect you with resources that can help.
